Welcome to Kathmandu for the new adventure of your life. When you get to TIA and out of its gate, you will meet a representative from Himalayan Hope Treks who will take you to your cultural accommodation in Kathmandu.

After refreshments, you will meet up with our guide and discuss the upcoming Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return trip.

We urge you to get an early sleep as we may need to leave around 2 AM towards Ramechhap to get to Lukla. It is because the Lukla straight flights often get relocated to this airport instead of TIA in the Fall and Spring time.

Early morning, you will travel with our guide and experience the upcoming landing in the tiny Lukla airport runway. Once you meet all the local supporting crew members, we will then advance down through Chheplung, Chaurikharka, Thadokoshi, and Ghat to Phakding under Everest.

We will begin trekking up past the fields of Benkar from Phakding and soon arrive at the gate of the Everest/Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo.

After the permit inspection, we progress higher through Jorsale over the Steel Cable Bridge named after Edmund Hilary. A rigorous ascending path then continues to march us up through Top Danda to Namche.

We will use today’s acclimatization day with a climb upward to Everest View Hotel (3880 m) built by the Japanese on the cliff. Here, we will stop for a tea and lunch break, and then we can trek back down through Khumjung to see the so-called Yeti bones and monastery.

From now on, our Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return will take us upward only. After a cross through Kyanjuma, we will progress higher to Phungi Thanga (3250 m) and then Tengboche where we will discover the quietness of its monastery.

We will ascend higher from Tengboche through Deboche (3820 m) to Upper Pangboche (3900 m). A short pause here will allow us to discover its remarkable Sherpa monastery.

Climbing onward via Orsho, Shomare, and Tsuro Wog, we will ultimately be looking at some more new mountains of Ama Dablam and Island Peaks from Dingboche.

To make the most of the second acclimating day of our Everest Base Camp trek return by helicopter, we will either move higher to Chhukung Hamlet and ascend even higher over the 5546 m Chhukung Ri. Or, we can remain at Dingboche and confront the 5050 m high Nangkartshang/Nagarjung Ridge.

Through Dusa and Dughla Settlements, we will then climb the height of 4830 m Dughla Pass. With a prayer flag on the stone chorten, we will pay our honor to the brave souls who disappeared in the mountains.

Then, climbing onward along the sharp edges of the Khumbu Glacier, we will reach Lobuche transitioning from forest to the alpine glacial terrain.

The second very significantly highlight day of our Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return is here. The sharp sides of the Khumbu Glacier will move us onward for a moment.

After we meander upward through the Thangma Riju Pass, the sharp edges of Changri Nup and Shar Glacier will direct our trail to Gorakshep. Once refreshed, a left path will progress us higher into the icy realm of EBC.

The local lodge of Gorakshep will offer us a warm shelter for the night.

With a very early start from Gorakshep, we will go higher over the black stones of Kala Patthar. Feel and breathe the morning Himalayan air coming through the magical walls of Everest, Lobuche, Thamserku, Pumori, Lingtren, Nuptse, Khumbutse, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse.
