But first, we will take you to your delicious hotel served with a beautiful terrace, garden, and an incredible mountain view.

In the evening, you will meet our guide, who will share all the details about our Kathmandu Valley tour itinerary. Later, an enchanting night in Thamel is in store for you with a delicious dinner hosted by Himalayan Hope Treks.

Today after the usual breakfast, you will set out with our guide to see the Kathmandu sights. Following no particular order, you will see:

Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple): You will have your first stop at the Monkey Temple self evolved on the hill over Kathmandu. This temple often for foreign visitors is the Monkey Temple for the uncountable number of monkeys that inhabit the area.

This sacred site is the beautiful peace symbol of faith for all the Nepalese which also offers you a wide expansive view of the entire Kathmandu.

Pashupatinath Temple: Next, you will go to Pashupatinath where you can see and photograph the age-old cremation tradition of cremation of Hindus at the ghat of Bagmati.

Boudhanath Stupa: It is yet another very spiritual Buddhist stupa that also survived the massive destruction of the earthquake. It has huge dome shaped white colored stupa, and has colorful large mandala. Around it, numerous tiny and large monasteries and shops can be found that add unique flavor to this site.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: At last, we will head towards the historical brick street of the Palace Square of Kathmandu. This prime location in its glory days saw the many coronations of former Nepali Shah and Malla kings. Today, only their remnants in pagodas, temples, old palace museums, and statues can be found.

Today, our day will be spent in Lalitpur/Patan, the city which is regarded as rich in fine Newari arts. Here, we can see the exceptional wood carvings and metal craftsmanship of the Newari people, the ethnic tribe of Kathmandu.

Among the many, we will certainly not miss to see the Golden Temple and its intricate details of the monastery. We will also take a look around Patan Durbar Square, the UNESCO site filled with countless statues, temples, pagodas, and many more that offer us endless photography memories.

The Patan Museum displays various timeless artworks, and items while the Krishna Temple of the Shikhara structure offer the impact of Indian art.

If we have enough time, we may also experience the charm of the Bungmati and Khokana villages of Lalitpur where the rustic beauty of Newari culture still can be seen and felt.

Today, we will see the 9th century oldest city of Bhaktapur, or the Bhadgaun that translates and meant the home of very dedicated devotees. Once in this city steeped with history, we will see why it is still called the Living Museum of Nepal.

Here, we can see people still working as their ancestors centuries before them. The houses are built in the same order as the medieval taste. On foot, we will go around the Bhaktapur Durbar Square beautifully decorated with the Palace of Fifty-five Windows, built by King Bhupatindra Malla.

We will also see the pagoda-styled Taleju temple, Lions Gate, and Golden Gate which are the grandiose gateways at the entrance of the ancient palace complex.

At the end of the day, we will go to a pottery workshop, where traditional pottery is made. We will also try the Juju Dhau, King Curd known all over Nepal only produced in this town.

We will then end our day in Thamel where the rich modern fabric of Kathmandu can be clearly seen.
