Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Our airport representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. According to your flight schedule, if the time permits you can explore Thamel area for the last-minute shopping for your tomorrows trek. In the evening, we host a welcome dinner in authentic Nepali cuisine where you can meet your trek members and enjoy delicious Nepali food with cultural shows. Same evening you will meet your guide. He/she will brief you about the Manaslu Circuit trek and check your necessary gears for the adventurous journey of Manaslu Circuit trek from the day after.

After early breakfast at your hotel, you will begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Machha khola from Kathmandu. You will be driving through the picturesque hills, passing rivers, terraced fields, and small towns. The road leads you through Arughat and Soti Khola before you reach to Machha Khola, the riverside village.

Today, you will take breakfast on Machha Khola, and begin your trek. Your trail takes you through various ascending and descending along the Budhi Gandaki River. On the way, you will cross various suspension bridges, stone paved villages, and waterfalls. After walking for 6-7 hours you will reach to Jagat, the official entry point to the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Today after breakfast in Jagat you will trek to Dyang. Your trek will ascend through forested ridges and terraced hillsides. You will Pass various charming villages like Philim and Ekle Bhatti before entering pine and bamboo forests. After 6 hours of walk-through rugged trail you will reach to Dyang, a small settlement surrounded by high cliffs and river views.

Today you will have breakfast in Dyang and begin your trek to Namrung. Today’s trail will enter to ancient Tibetan cultural areas. On the way, you will cross various suspension bridges and climb steadily into the higher terrain of Namrung. After reaching to Namrung, you will be amazed by the stunning view of various snowcapped peaks including Shring Himal and Ganesh Himal.

Today’s trek offers an incredible transition into the high Himalayan landscape. You will begin your trek through fir and dense rhododendron forests, passing the charming village of Lihi, adorned with chortens and barley fields. The trail continues to Sho, where you’ll start to see your first close views of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m).

As you gain elevation, the vegetation thins, and the landscape opens up to offer sweeping views of snow-covered peaks like Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, and Ganesh Himal. After a steady climb, you arrive at Shyala, a beautiful highland village surrounded on all sides by majestic mountains.

Shyala is a peaceful and scenic spot, perfect for acclimatization and mountain photography. You’ll be surrounded by 360° views of Mt. Manaslu, Himalchuli, Peak 29, Ngadi Chuli, and Ganesh Himal. Rest and enjoy the spiritual calm of the Himalayas.

Today’s journey offers both cultural depth and beauty of majestic Himalayan. You will leave Shyala, and begin walking towards Samagaun, the trail gently descends and skirts along the glacial valley floor, with stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Peak 29 ever-present. After departing from Shyala, you’ll take a side trail leading to the ancient and sacred Pungyen Monastery (Pungyen Gompa).

'Pungyen monastery sits atop a hillside surrounded by yak pastures, overlooking the Manaslu Glacier and offering one of the most stunning viewpoints of the entire trek. Still active, the monastery is home to monks and nuns who carry out daily rituals, and you may hear prayer chants echoing through the valley.'

After spending time soaking in the spirituality and mountain views of Pungyen Monastery, you’ll descend back to the main trail and continue walking towards Samagaun, the largest village in the Manaslu region which you will find during your Manaslu Circuit trek. The landscape opens into a wide basin flanked by dramatic peaks, mani walls, and scattered stone homes. On arrival, relax in a cozy teahouse and enjoy the quiet rhythm of village life in the high Himalayas.

Today is a vital rest and acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitude before ascending further. Though it’s a “rest” day, there are excellent side hikes to enjoy while boosting your altitude fitness.

Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) on this day is not mandatory but a popular option. It’s a challenging uphill trail, taking around 6–7 hours round trip, but the reward is outstanding—a close encounter with the north face of Mt. Manaslu, glaciers, and moraine-filled terrain. It’s a perfect option for experienced trekkers looking for extra thrill.

Another option of the day is Birendra Tal (Birendra Lake), a beautiful glacial lake just below the Manaslu Glacier. It takes about 1.5–2 hours round trip and offers mesmerizing reflections of the surrounding mountains and perfect for a lighter and more cultural alternative.

Back in the village, explore the traditional stone paved houses, interact with locals, and witness their ancient Tibetan Buddhist lifestyle. You’ll encounter spinning prayer wheels, fluttering prayer flags in the wind. After exploration you will enjoy the peaceful high-altitude atmosphere and recharge your energy for the coming trekking days.

After breakfast in Machhermo, you will begin your descent toward Namche Bazaar. The trail descends gradually through high alpine meadows and yak pastures, offering panoramic views of stunning mountains such as Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde Ri. You will be passing through charming Sherpa villages such as Dole, Lhabarma, and Phortse Thanga, where the path re-enters the tree line filled with rhododendron and juniper forests.

'After reaching to Phortse Thanga, a short uphill climb leads you to Mong La, a scenic ridge with excellent views of Taboche and the Dudh Koshi Valley below. Afterward, you will descend gradually and rejoin the main Everest trail near Kyangjuma, eventually reaching the lively town of Namche Bazaar.'

Today, you will trek through rugged highlands with views of Larkya Peak and Naike Himal. You will walk enjoy the view of mountain peaks and various landscapes. After 3/4 hours of walk you will reach Dharamsala, the base for Larkya La Pass. Rest of the day is yours. You can explore the area or take some leisurely time.

'On this day you will begin your walk before dawn and ascend gradually to the top of the Larkya La Pass, where breathtaking views waiting for you. After celebrating the summit, you will descend into the wide, glacial valley of Bimthang.'

'After early breakfast in Bhimthang, you will begin your journey towards Tilje village and leave Bhimthang behind with mountain memories. The trail gently winds through pine and lush rhododendron forest offering creeping birds sounds, and past grazing meadows and cascading soothing streams. You will enjoy your final stunning views of the snow-capped Himlayas, including Lamjung Himal, Mt. Manaslu, and Phungi Himal as you re-enter the green hills.'

Walking peacefully for 4 hours, you’ll reach Tilje Village, a charming settlement nestled in the hills with stone paved houses and terraced fields. From Tilje village, you will drive to Besisahar by bus, the gateway to the Annapurna region.

You will check into your hotel in Besisahar and enjoy a well-earned rest, reminiscing over the incredible journey you’ve just completed. In the evening you can explore the area or just take rest in your hotel.

After breakfast in Besisahar, you will board a local bus for your return journey—either to Kathmandu or Pokhara, depending on your travel preference. The drive winds through Nepal’s mid-hill terrain, passing terraced fields, small towns, river valleys, and scenic rural landscapes.
